Just a quick post to point out the social injustice and shaming of a class of human beings who have made mistakes. I have felons in my family. I have friends who have felonies. Most of them are decent people who made some mistakes.
However, the left has painted them as the most vile and undeserving class of people to ever walk the earth. They literally spit on your past and proclaim you are not worthy of the cotton your shirt is made from.
The fact of the matter is, 8% of US adult males are convicted felons. A staggering 33% of the African American adult population are convicted felons. Yes, black America, they are talking about you too! They are not being subtle about their feelings. They believe convicted felons are scum. While some may indeed be lowlifes, many simply made mistakes, hung out with the wrong crowds, or faced hard times that led them to desperate actions. But they did their time.
And no, I am not pandering to felons; felons can’t vote. However, I know a large part of the black population will be voting for Democrats in this election. Just make sure you are hearing what Democrats are saying about someone you might care about. I am not even saying that Trump is a better option. I’m just saying know what you are buying into. Understand that all they really care about is winning.
