Today, X is ablaze with outrage over Trump’s response to Project 2025. What’s got everyone so riled up? Did he pledge to enact Project 2025 on day one of his supposed reign as dictator? Did he vow to use it to dismantle democracy as we know it? Did he express his undying support for this conservative manifesto? Nope. It’s worse—at least according to the hysterics. He simply said he has nothing to do with it and dismissed some parts of Project 2025 as “absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.”

Good news, right? Wrong. Democrats need him to be involved so they can keep painting him as the villain who’ll destroy civilization if he gets another term. So, naturally, they double down, insisting he’s lying. But come on, when has Trump ever shied away from taking credit for something he’s proud of or believes in? Never. Yet that doesn’t stop the liberals from spinning their own theories about what’s going on in Trump’s mind. They suggest he’s distancing himself to protect his campaign. Maybe they’re right. But it’s all speculation at this point. Sure, he has ties with some people behind Project 2025, but there’s no solid proof he had any hand in its creation or plans to implement it.
